Blasting Technology

The process of cleaning and roughening the surface of the part by spraying various abrasives at certain speeds is called blasting. During this impact, while removing unwanted substances such as oil , dirt, rust on the surface , the same surface is abraded and smoothed at the micron level.

The material to be blasted plays an important role in the selection of abrasive to obtain the desired surface. These abrasives are mainly;

  • Steel Shot
  • Steel Grit
  • Stainless Steel Shot
  • Glass Beads
  • Aluminum Oxide (Pink, Brown, White)
  • Garnet
  • Cut Wire
  • Plastic Abrasives
  • Ceramic Beads

 Main purpose of blasting

  • Surface cleaning
  • Rust removal
  • Paint removal
  • Removing certain level scratches on the surface
  • Surface roughening
  • Kaplama ve boya öncesi yüzey hazırlama

Main application areas;

  • Heavy industry, shipyards, iron and steel industry etc.
  • Cleaning of cylinder heads, valves, pistons in the automotive industry and turbine channels in the aviation industry.
  • In surface preparation and cleaning before metallization, coating, welding and painting works
  • In paint, dust and rust removal processes
  • Smoothing of metal and non-metal materials
  • In restoration works
  • In pipes and pipelines
  • In glass and glass decoration works
  • Teflon and surface roughening processes before coating
  • In paint scraping and mold cleaning processes of all metal and non-metal surfaces
  • In marble and chip roughening processes
  • In wood surface texture creation
