Burrs are the residual parts of a heigh or protruding edge or material that remain on the surface, edges or in certain parts of the parts produced by machines such as presses or CNC that process metal plates or metal blocks, although is varies according to the product. It is necessary to clean it in order not to disturb it both for the next processes and during use. All burrs, are removed by the process called deburring and different types of machines.
The deburring process time is determined by checking the products applied for the first time at certain intervals during the process .Since the burrs are at variable levels , each different product is processed at different times, so the time is controlled in the first application of each new product. Surface treatment continues, until all burrs disappear and the surface of the product attains the desired homogeneous structure. For example , the final processing time of the product is determined by the checks made every 15 or 30 minutes. Afterwards, the determined process can be applied repeatedly to other products of the same type and type.
The products coming out of the deburring process are subjected to polishing process and the smoothed surface is also polished. It is used quite frequently because many products in different sectors are presented to the end user after being polished or prepared for the next process. The polishing stage is also an application that supports the product in terms of sales as cosmetic. Before some coating processes , has become mandatory. Polishing chips called “porcelain” are used during the process, porcelain chips, which have many varieties in terms of size and shape, are selected according to the geometric structure and size of the products. The polished products are transferred to the next and final stage.
