Painting

Its main function is to prevent corrosion of the metal on which it is applied. Anticorrosive paints prevent corrosion thanks to the binders , pigments and additives in their composition. Binders with good adhesion to metal and water resistant , anticorrosive pigments that passivate the metal surface; Additives that increase adhesion , water repellency or protect the metal electrochemically are used for this purpose.

The paint is made of 4 groups of materials. These;

1. Connectors: Connectors, are resins which can be any natural resins or syntetic resins. These resins hold other components within themselves and adhere to the surface to which they are applied.
2. Pigmentler ve Genişleticiler: Pigmentler ve Genişleticiler, boyalara rengini veren organik ve inorganik katılardır ve formülasyona eklenir. 
3. Solvents and thinners : While dissolving binders, thinners help lower the viscosity of the paint. The reduction in viscosity aids the free flow of paint, making it suitable for application.
4. Additives; Additives are liquid or solid materials added to a paint to impart any desired property. 

The first two of the four groups, binders and pigments, determine the anticorrosive properties of a paint. Initially liquids binders in a paint dry and cure to form an impermeable thin film to protect the surface. It is very important to improve the anti-corrosion quality of a paint or to choose the most suitable
